The Aldeby Village Enquiry has shown the down sides and up sides that Aldeby has faced in the last 50 years but I think that if there hadn't of been a building ban on Aldeby. Then the economy would have been a lot more stable and it would not of collapsed. So Aldeby would not of lost most of its shops and then people wouldn't of had to move out, but this was a good thing for some of the people who had work in Beccles because it made Aldeby a lot more rural and more peaceful way to live. Another good thing that happened was the opening of the two woodland trusts which provides an excellent place to cut through the village in quick time or just go for a walk. But is has been temporarely shut at the moment because of the foot and mouth outbreaks, which (at the moment is causing a lot of worry for local farmers). One thing that has not been mentioned very much in this topic is the local agriculture, this is mainly because there has not been a change just to Aldeby because it has happened to most of the country. So altogether most of Aldebys changes have been for the worst. It looks like it is going to carry on this way unless new housing is built to boost the economy again which at the moment seems to be unlikely, so although Aldeby has had some slight boosts it looks like Aldeby is going to remain a village in decline.
