This is an annotaded map of Aldeby, There was not a lot of buildings built sice 1950 and that is because from 1970-1985 there was a building ban in Aldeby so the economical situation in Aldeby got a lot worse which caused even more people to move out. So the population of Aldeby dropped quite dramatically. As you can see there has been every commercial building except the post office closed down which shows what this population shunt did to Aldeby's Commerce. Aldeby Waste disposal site (gravel pits) have also appeared since, but many residents believe it to be a bit of an eyesore. However, it is build in a place where there are few homes and there is a hill between it and the main road to it does not cause people that much trouble. This has however created more traffic, especially large lorries and trucks. The woodland trust has provided an area of beauty for locals and it provides a place to walk pets and go for a stroll.
